Reverend E. Darnell Moffett, a native of Taylorsville, MS, presently resides in Magee, MS. He is married to Dr. Allison Moffett of Clarksdale, MS. They are the parents of four children: Erick, Brandon, Danelle, and Micah.
Reverend Moffett holds BS and MS degrees in physics from the University of Southern Mississippi, and is a graduate of the Executive Management and Leadership programs at Rice University in Houston, TX and The Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC, respectively. He also studied at the Houston Graduate School of Theology in Houston, TX and the Gulf Coast Bible Institute in Hattiesburg, MS.
He professed his faith in Jesus Christ as Savior as a teenager, was baptized, and became a member of the Pine Valley Church in Taylorsville, MS. On December 24, 1995 while living in Houston, TX, he accepted his primary calling in life and made public profession of the call of God on his life to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In April of 2000, he began his service in pastoral ministry at the Hopewell Baptist Church (Sylvarena) of Raleigh, MS where he remained for 6½ years. Since 2003, he has faithfully and prayerfully served the membership of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Magee, MS. He also serves as President of The First Sweet Pilgrim Sunday School and B.T.U. Congress.
In his local community, Pastor Moffett is actively involved in the schools (high school and college) promoting programs that help students to be better prepared for life.
